Privacy Policy

Updated: 2026-07-31
Effective: 2026-07-31

Welcome to SafepowerHems (the “App”). Safe Power (“we”, “us”, or “our”) values your privacy and personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process when you use the App, why we process it, what is submitted or retained, and how you can control that processing.

1. Information We Process and When

We process information only when you choose to use the relevant feature and only as needed for that feature. Camera, Photos, foreground Location, Bluetooth, and Notifications are optional permissions. Denying or revoking one of them generally affects only the related feature.

1.1 Camera Permission

We access the camera only when you choose to scan a QR code or device serial number to bind or configure a device, or choose to take an account avatar photo. We do not continuously access the camera in the background. QR-code or serial-number content is used for the device flow you start, and an avatar is uploaded only after you confirm saving it. Declining Camera permission does not affect features that do not need the camera.

1.2 Photo Library and Selected Photos

When you choose an image for QR recognition, an account avatar, or a feedback attachment, we read only the image you select. Avatar and feedback images are uploaded only after you confirm saving or submitting them. We do not read photos that you have not selected. Declining Photos permission does not affect features that do not need image selection.

1.3 Foreground Location

We request foreground Location permission and read the latitude and longitude of your current location only after you tap “Use Current Location for Coordinates” while creating or editing a home/site. The coordinates are submitted only with the home/site record when you save it, for home/site management and display.

We do not request Location permission at App launch, sign-in, or registration, and we do not continuously collect Location in the background. You may avoid this action or deny/revoke Location in system Settings and still enter an address manually.

1.4 System Language, Region, and Time Zone

The App reads your device’s system language, region, and time-zone settings locally to choose a default display language and, when you have not manually selected a server region, a default service region. This does not read GPS coordinates and does not require Location permission. You can also change the language or server region manually in the App.

1.5 Notifications and Push Tokens

When you tap “Enable” in notification settings and grant system notification permission, we obtain the device push token needed to deliver account, device-status, offline, approval, alert, and service reminders. At launch, the App only checks whether Notifications were already granted and reads a push token if they were; it does not present a new permission prompt at launch.

We do not use Notifications for marketing or advertising. You may turn Notifications off in system Settings. Doing so may disable notification reminders but does not affect unrelated core account or device-monitoring features.

1.6 Bluetooth and Nearby Device Information

When you start a nearby-device search, connection, or configuration, we use Bluetooth to discover, connect to, and configure compatible energy devices and exchange configuration data with the device you select. Bluetooth is not used for location tracking, advertising, or inferring your location. If you decline Bluetooth permission, nearby-device connection and configuration are unavailable.

1.7 Account, Home/Site, Device, Energy, and Diagnostic Information

To provide the service, we also process:

We process this information through App service APIs only as needed to provide the service, maintain security, troubleshoot, handle feedback, or meet legal obligations.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to provide, maintain, and improve account, home/site, and device-management features; show energy and device status; complete device connection, configuration, and data synchronization that you initiate; process avatars, feedback attachments, QR codes, or device serial numbers that you submit; troubleshoot issues; protect service security; handle support feedback; prevent misuse; and meet our consent, contractual, legal, or legitimate-interest requirements.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use Location, Camera, Photos, or Bluetooth permissions for targeted advertising, and we do not continuously collect Location in the background. If we need a new purpose not described here, we will provide further notice and obtain consent where required by law.

3. Service Providers

To support video features in applicable regions, we use the EZVIZ SDK as a third-party service. When you initiate video preview, recording queries or downloads, PTZ control, or similar features, the SDK may process information necessary for video playback, device connection, video-stream transmission, playback authorization, and service stability, including video-device information, device identifiers, network-connection information, playback requests and status, and log or diagnostic information. The SDK is used only for video-related features in applicable regions; we do not authorize it to use your personal information for purposes unrelated to the App. We do not actively store video streams, recordings, screenshots, or playback content on cloud servers that we control. Video-stream data or related data generated during these features may be handled under EZVIZ service mechanisms; please refer to EZVIZ's applicable privacy policy or service documentation for details. If we introduce other third-party SDKs or services in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain consent where required by law.

When you explicitly enable Notifications in the App and grant the system permission, we use Expo Push Service and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to process the Expo push token and APNs device push token, which are submitted to our server to deliver account, device-status, offline, approval, alert, and service reminders. We do not use push tokens to send marketing advertisements. You may disable Notifications at any time in system Settings.

We use Expo Updates to check for, download, and apply App updates. This service may process technical information necessary to provide updates, such as the App version, runtime environment, update project identifier, and update-request information. It is not used to access system-permission-protected resources such as Location, Camera, Photos, or Bluetooth.

To support App operation, we may use cloud and API services, service-performance analytics tools, and crash or diagnostic tools. Service providers may process necessary information only to provide services on our behalf and must comply with applicable confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

4. Data Storage and Transfers

We process the information above through service APIs and use access controls and security measures appropriate to the purpose. Where a cross-border transfer is involved, we will apply safeguards required by applicable law. We do not represent a specific storage country, provider, or certification unless stated in the applicable service documentation and law.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, or maintain security. After you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize related personal information within a reasonable period, except where the law requires retention.

5.1 Account Closure and Data Deletion

You may request account closure through the following path in the App:

My → System Settings → Delete Account

You may also contact us using the contact details provided at the end of this Policy to request deletion of your account and related data.

After account closure, we will stop providing services associated with the account and, within a reasonable period, delete or anonymize personal information related to the account, unless applicable laws or regulations require or permit us to retain certain data, such as security, audit, dispute-resolution, or legal-compliance records.

Please note that closing your account may prevent you from continuing to access linked devices, historical data, alert records, or other account-related services.

6. Your Rights and Controls

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, use the account-deletion feature in the App or contact us to request deletion, withdraw optional Camera, Photos, Location, Bluetooth, or Notification permissions in system Settings, and contact us about processing involving your information.

Withdrawing an optional permission does not affect processing already completed under your authorization, but the related optional feature may become unavailable.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted transmission, access controls, and permission management, to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of Internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children below the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. If we become aware of it, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy. The updated version will be posted on this page. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice through the App, a pop-up, or another appropriate method as required by applicable law. The updated Policy takes effect on its publication date.

10. Disclaimer

Information provided by the App is for reference only and should not be the sole basis for electrical, safety, or engineering decisions.
