Website Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

The short version

1.Scope

[SafePower Technology, Inc.] ("SafePower", "we", "us") provides solar, battery storage and microgrid systems for homes and businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through:

It does not cover the SafePowerHems mobile app, which has its own policy: SafePowerHems App Privacy Policy. If you are both a website visitor and an app user, both policies apply to their respective activities.

2.Information we collect

We only collect what we need. The table below covers everything, including the categories used by California law.

Category What this includes Where it comes from
Identifiers & contact details Name, email address, phone number, city and state, property or installation address. You, when you submit a form, call, email or message us.
Project & property information Property type, roof or site details, existing solar or battery equipment, backup and storage requirements, utility provider, rate plan, electricity usage, monthly bill amount, project timeline, and anything else you write in your message. You; your utility, if you authorize us to obtain your usage data.
Commercial information Quotes, proposals, contracts, installation and service records, warranty and support history. Generated as we work with you.
Internet & device activity IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, time on page, clicks and scrolling, referring website or ad, and cookie or advertising identifiers. Collected automatically by cookies and tags when you visit (see §4).
Approximate location City/region-level location estimated from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location through this website. Automatically, via analytics.
Business contact information For distributor and installer applications: company name, role, license or contractor details, service area, business contact details. You, when you apply to partner with us.
Inferences Whether your property looks suitable for solar or storage, estimated system size and savings, and lead quality or stage. Derived from the information above.

Sensitive information we do not collect on this website

Our website forms are not designed to collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account or card numbers, precise geolocation, health information, biometric data, or information about race, religion, union membership, sexual orientation, or the contents of your private messages. Please do not enter this kind of information in a form or email.

If you apply for financing (for example a $0-upfront or loan option), credit and income information is collected and assessed directly by the financing provider under its own privacy policy and applicable financial privacy laws. We do not run credit checks through this website.

3.How we use it

We do not use your information to make decisions about you by purely automated means that would have a legal or similarly significant effect, and we do not profile you for those purposes.

4.Cookies, analytics & advertising

We use a tag manager (Google Tag Manager) to deploy the tools below. Google Tag Manager is a container: it does not collect personal information by itself, but it loads the tags that do.

Tool Purpose What it collects / receives Controls
Google Analytics 4
G-4T7PEGYKHY
Website analytics Cookie ID, IP address (used to estimate location, then discarded by Google), pages and events, device and browser, traffic source. Your Privacy Choices; Google Analytics opt-out add-on
Google Ads
AW-18369836523
(incl. doubleclick.net)
Conversion measurement & remarketing Advertising cookie IDs, click identifiers, pages visited, form submissions counted as conversions. Your Privacy Choices; Google My Ad Center
Strictly necessary cookies Site function & security Session, load-balancing, spam and abuse prevention, and your saved cookie preference. Always on; cannot be switched off.

Because these advertising tools share online identifiers with Google for cross-context advertising, some state privacy laws treat this as "sharing" or as a "sale" of personal information — even though no money changes hands and even though we do not sell customer lists. You can turn it off at any time: see Your Privacy Choices.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising for that browser. We also honour browser-level cookie controls, although blocking all cookies may break parts of the site.

5.How we share

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described here:

Our service providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us, not for their own purposes.

6.Security

We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls and least-privilege access to our email and CRM systems, and staff confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

7.Your privacy choices & rights

Turning off analytics and advertising

Use the "Your Privacy Choices" control in our website footer to opt out of analytics and advertising cookies, or send a GPC signal from your browser. Opting out does not change the website's core functionality.

Requests you can make

Wherever you live in the United States, you may ask us to:

How to make a request

To protect your information we need to verify who you are, usually by matching two or more details against our records — we will never ask for more information than necessary. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission that we can verify. We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need up to another 45 days.

If we decline your request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing sales@safepowert.com with "Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to appeals within 60 days. If we deny the appeal, we will tell you how to contact your state Attorney General.

We will never deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you lower quality service because you exercised a privacy right.

Need this policy in an alternative accessible format, or help submitting a request? Contact us and we will assist.

8.State-specific notices

Several US states have comprehensive privacy laws, and whether a particular law applies to us depends on its thresholds. We offer the choices in §7 to all US residents regardless, so you do not need to work out which law covers you.

California

The categories of personal information we collect, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose to are set out in §§2, 3 and 5. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We do share online identifiers and website activity with Google for cross-context behavioural advertising, and you may opt out in §7. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a "limit the use" option. California's rules also cover business and employment contacts, so distributor, installer and job applicants have the same choices.

Texas

We share online identifiers with Google Analytics and Google Ads for analytics and targeted advertising. Texas law defines "sale" broadly, so this may be treated as a sale of personal data. You may opt out of targeted advertising and any sale at any time via §7. We do not sell sensitive personal data or biometric data.

New York

New York does not currently give general consumers access or deletion rights, but it does require reasonable data-security safeguards and breach notification, which we describe in §6. New York residents can still use every choice in §7.

Other states

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon, Montana, Minnesota, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Nebraska, Tennessee, Utah, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island and Florida may have similar rights under their state laws, including the right to appeal a denied request. Use §7.

9.Children

Our website and services are intended for adults who own or manage property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact sales@safepowert.com and we will delete it.

10.Other websites & US-only scope

Our site links to third-party sites, app stores and social media pages that we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.

SafePower's website and services are directed to users in the United States, and information is processed in the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data-protection rules than your own country.

11.Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will make the update prominent on the website.
