How long would your solar power last during a blackout?

At Safe Power, we hear the same issue again and again: solar panels are great during the day, but at night, still buying expensive grid power. That’s exactly what Michelle and her family in the San Fernando Valley were facing.

We set their home energy app once: “prioritise solar self‑use, charge from the grid only during off‑peak hours.” Now their battery charges overnight at cheap rates, soaks up solar surplus during the day, and powers their evening – greatly reducing peak‑grid draw. Their latest quarterly bill dropped from $650 to $210 – saving over $1,700 a year.

And when another safety‑related power cut hit their neighbourhood, their lights stayed on, fridge kept running, and Wi‑Fi never dropped – all powered by their Safe Power battery for 12 hours, while neighbours rushed for power banks.
